About Brad Carter

My name is Brad Carter and I am passionate about empowering golfers to get the most out of their game.

For me, it started when I was 11 years old when I got my first set of clubs and would follow Dad around the Te Marua Golf Club on Sundays. I quickly became hooked on the game, loving that every round was different and people of all ages and abilities could compete. After 3 years of learning the basics I made my interclub debut for the division 9 Te Marua mens team. I progressed over the next year to be selected for the top side which played in division 2 and the following year made the move to the Hutt golf club where I played division 1 for the next 5 seasons. During that time I was selected for Wellington and played over 20 matches for my province. Individually I won 5 tournaments as an amateur and competed in various New Zealand Amateurs and Australian Amateurs.

After completing a degree in Media Studies at Victoria University, Wellington I decided to embark on a PGA Traineeship which is still the best decision I ever made. Over 3 years from 2006-2008,  I learnt overwhelming amounts of knowledge of the game including, Coaching, GolfPsychology, Club Fitting and repair, Rules of golf, Running a golf business, Golf Physiology and Golf Nutrition whilst passing a playing standard which has allowed me to qualify for the NZ PGA tour circuit.

In 2011 I was lucky enough to attend the Masters Tournament in Augusta Georgia which was the experience of a lifetime.

The game of golf has given me a lot since I was 11 years old. It has taught me life skills, tested my ability, my emotions and I am so privileged to make a career out of it.
